Valve Cover Bolts at NeedsWings .. Buyer Beware
I bought their set of Stainless Steel bolts without paying much attention as I was new to the Forum and I had seen their name used quite a bit.
I ordered the S/S bolt set (not cheap) $40 with shipping, as I didn't want to waste time.
They sat in a box for a week or so and yesterday when I had some time to get into pulling the valve covers I took them out to see what $40 had got me.
I noticed that they were not FLANGE bolts but instead cap head bolts.
I notified Rob at NW and he said no problem return them, I said I paid something like $6 to get them to me, surely they would pick up the postage for me to get them back as they were not the correct part for the job. He gave me a mouth full of what sounded like politically correct b.....t and that was the end of it.After sleeping on it, I thought to buy some s/s washers to distribute the load. I pulled a couple of the long OEM bolts out and found that Needswings bolts where 1/4" longer.
I just got off of the phone with Rob about the bolts not being a direct replacement and it was a rerun of yesterday, sure send them back at my expense.
I will probably end up sending them back at my expense and eat the $12 for shipping back and forth.
An expensive introduction to a Forum recommended vendor.
That's it, I imagine this post will get pulled, but maybe someone that is planning to buy from these people will think twice.
