Arrow Nothing to Skreem about?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if any of you had problems with your FOB's? Today my FOB was unresponsive so I used the actual key to get the car door open. The alarm went off immediately. (great....) I then started it and it ran for a whole 2 seconds before shutting off. It wouldn't even engage the starter after that first attempt. I initially thought maybe the FOB batteries were dead but I replaced them and got the same result.

After researching the problem on THIS forum, I read many posts pointing to SKREEM issues. I then went on to read more when I stumbled on a post with a simple, sounding solution. Simply disconnect the battery for and hour, reconnect and then use your spare FOB. IT WORKED! I like free, simple fixes.

My question to you guys is - Is this a permanent solution? What caused this to happen in the first place and is my non working FOB dead or can it be re-programmed to work again?

Thanks for your time.
