Default Here's a brainless scam or poor victim selling the Crossfire

Today I was looking for a Crossfire for my kid, when I came across a great price on a 2005 limited with 124K miles

The Craigslist ad has been deleted, but here's a screenshot from when it was active:

Here's the wacky response I got from the seller when I told him the Carfax confirmed there was odometer rollback, and that it was a serious offense that could put him in jail:

I offered him $1,500 for the car, as that's what I feel is a fair price based on the mileage. He countered with 2k, and I countered with $1,750. If I buy if for $1,750, I'll register it stating the mileage is unknown.

What do you guys think of this situation?
