ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid at: http://www.raceshopper.com/ate_brake_fluid.shtml
Going to run Streets this 22nd. Gonna be hot as hell for sure. Can I leave this after my run or should I switch back to regular DOT3 fluid? How much of this do i need BTW?
Or anyone who actually races has any other recommendation?
ATE SuperBlue is good, ATE manufactures all of the brake components in the Crossfire, the stock fluid is ATE as well. You can keep it in the car forever. You won't notice any pedal difference during regular driving conditions the fluid is really only better for heavy use when regular brake fluid tends to boil.
Two cans will completely flush the system with a bit left over. I would get a "good" pressure bleeder, or have a shop do it for you with a pressure bleeder only. Don't fiddle around with bleeding the system by pumping the pedal (since you're going to be running on the track)... If it was just a daily driver I would do it the pedal pump way, but not if you're going to be on the track next to me... LOL
I'm planning on running California Motor Speedway on Friday, but you're tempting me to join you instead. Which group are you running with ? As long as it's not Speed Trial USA, I might join you instead of going to CMS.
