Smile Not The RCM!

I finally joined, but have been using all of your useful tips for years. I have an '05 coupe with the 6 speed manual transmission. I had the phantom no crank, and none of tips here solved the problem, but they pointed me in the right direction, so thank you. I started with the obvious - the battery, starter, clutch pedal switches, fuses, ignition switch, etc., to no avail. I then looked in this forum and found the RCM and pulse module tips. I found no power to the pulse module, but the clutch pedal switches and ignition switch were fine. Long story short, there is a lever that is pop riveted onto the clutch pedal assembly that actuates the clutch pedal switch when the pedal is pressed. The rivets in the lever were loose, and would not let the lever fully actuate the switch! It was a royal pain, but I was actually able to get this old body twisted around enough under the dash to get the rivets out, and install some small bolts in their place, without removing the clutch and brake pedal assembly. I just didn't want to have to deal with bleeding the clutch system. Hindsight being 20-20, it probably would have been easier to take out the assembly though. I hope this helps someone else with the same issue. I have seen several posts where the vehicles were in the shop for months...
