I thought only the automatics had this.
The last 6 speed I drove did not have a pulse module.
How could I tell ?
I am used to just bumping the key to start on my automatic and the pulse module takes over.
On that 6 speed, I had to hold the key in start until the engine was running.
George I have a question that you may be able to answer I hope, it has nothing to do with the 6-speed in this post it's about the automatic transmission specifically the transmission control module, can it be safely taken apart so the PCB can be inspected and cleaned if necessary? I pulled mine out the other day and the wiring harness was a little damp with transmission fluid so I pulled the connectors off and cleaned them with contact cleaner and dried them off and reinstalled, but I did not try and take apart the TCM like we do the RCM because I didn't know if I could do so safely, any thoughts on this? The transmission data connector o rings were changed about a year ago, but I think they may be leaking again I'm going to check this weekend.
