Default Re: Crankshaft Position Sensor

Thanks for all the great information here. My engine threw a P0335 code. I went to Amazon and the site said the Bosch part is NOT compatible with the Crossfire. That is an incorrect statement. I read further through the reviews, and several other Crossfire members said the same thing, so I ordered the part. The Correct part for the Crossfire is Bosch 0 261 210 170. The E-bolt is very small - less than an inch in length. The suggestion of tying a string is a stroke of genius. I doubled my odds by putting a piece of painter's tape into the E-socket, then pressing the E-bolt into the socket (adhesive side toward socket. That made it really secure. Turned the bolt into the engine by hand with u-joint and 5" extension. Toughest part was removing the clip. You have to squeeze really hard on the clip right next to the wire. After numerous attempts, I just removed the E-bolt first as something else had suggested. When I looked at the old part, I noticed there was soot on the shiny metallic dot. Wonder if just wiping this down would have solved the problem?
