I've been assuming the intercooler is a water type and is the unit connected to the oil filter housing. If so, it is small; I can't imagine how it can be isolated; and where is the separate pump unless it is an air intercooler and is the plastic, looking somewhat like an alternator, on the left inside fender?

Aslo, I can't figure out how an intercooler goes out. Or is it 'just' the pump that goes out?

Or do I have it all wrong?
