biba- the pump has an electrical plug going to it to power it. the easiest way to access the pump is to take off the passenger side front wheel and under the fender is a little access door. open the door and the pump is right there. you may have to take off the splash guard under the car as well to get to the hoses on the pump. this is what I did when I replaced my pump.
