Re: Won't Start
??? I do not know about our SKREEM module, I'm asking if anyone knows (for sure) when a SKREEM is programmed with your VIN, and then installed (like that company that 'repairs' them), does the SLREEM learn the RFID chips when first started? The reason I ask, I have an F body Camaro, and it is having a BCM issue. If I order a new BCM and install it, the first time it is started it 'locks' in the passkey II resistor chip (one of 15 values) used in the security system. I know it is a GM BCM (not German SKREEM), just wonder if after a VIN encode, will it (upon first crank) lock the key rfid codes like my 2002 F body passkey resistor code 'learn'. I have no idea how this question could be answered as the people who provide the service would lose revenue. They sure do command quite a high price for this part (Chrysler/MB/Reprogrammers), for sure... Good luck with getting your car running! ???
??? Was there ever a member who bought a new SKREEM, and tried to install it outright? Seems all I am reading about that one part, it has to be VIN programmed. They used to say that about the GM "F" body BCM as well. ???
