Re: P0140 & P0341/Prior Service Work Issues/RCM Fix
The CPS (camshaft) replacement appears to be a success. 180's advice to remove the sensor first and then unplug made the job much easier. I did spray some contact cleaner on the three contacts inside the plug. The car started right up and I am showing no engine codes.
I went for a 20 mile test drive and after I got home let the car sit for 30 minutes. After that it started right up and since then I've started it a couple more times.
I did notice the original CPS was a MB branded Bosch sensor.
I did the RCM solder fix last week and now the new camshaft sensor replacement.
I did order the crankshaft sensor as well just to have one at the ready. I'm going to order another camshaft sensor to keep in my tool box.
Thanks to the forum and everyone involved for saving me some cash!
