Sprinter was all MB with the exception of some trim pieces. Crossfire is all MB chassis and powertrain. Lots of other Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep vehicles used a MB-designed NAG1 722.6 transmission variant that while not necessarily identical to the one used in the Crossfire and Sprinter, is very similar. Challengers, Chargers, Magnums, 300s, Durangos, Wranglers, Grand Cherokees, all SRT8s, etc. used the Chrysler version know as W5A580. Other than Crossfire and Sprinter which were totally, or mostly MB parts bin, the 300 and Pacifica were also known to incorporate some additional MB engineering (like suspension components). Daimler did not want to let its components spread across the Chrysler models to ensure that consumers would still overpay for their Mercedes.
