Default overheating slightly in traffic

Hi all...
I have a 2004 Crossfire Coupe...doesn't get much time on the road lately - more of a garage queen, lately since I am so busy at work...Only 48,930 original kms...had the oil and filter done last year...everything works, including the air and the rear spoiler!!
I got stuck in city traffic last week, and the temp gauge started to creep into dangerous territory, so I pulled over and let it cool off...The electric fan was on (the main fan), so no problems with the thermoswitch or the fan motor...
Has anyone done a COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH for this? Could it be a stuck thermostat?
Otherwise, everything is perfect...Attached are some pics of the car...
