Ok I understand, I drove the car all yesterday and once I arrived home from work after I turned the car off and on my way in I noticed the fob wouldn't' unlock or lock the doors. There were no other issues at that point, I did not try to start it up again until this morning after purchasing batteries for the fob. When I tried to start it the radio turned on and off in less than 2 seconds and that's all that happened internally. I got nothing from the engine and the repeating chime that seemed to be coming from the front of the dash.
Did you have the car door open when the chime was going? It will do that on all of these cars. It reminds you that the key is still in the ignition, it will normally stop when you close the door.
I suspect that your RCM has a poor soldered connection. Look up the 'Mystery no start' thread. If it is it is an easy fix, you may find it suddenly decides to start sometimes.
