A repeating chime could be an indication of lights left on ,key in the ignition (not that ,they were in your hand). Could you have turned the lights to far left, leaving one side of the parking lights on? Have you tried ,jumping the car off, with the ground on the body, engine or frame? Also follow up on 180's suggestion of ,Mystery no start.
