Hi All!
I don't officially even have a Crossfire yet (that will hopefully change by then end of next week), but I wanted to say thank you for all the info you guys share here, and congratulations on what seems to be a nice place to be (not many of those left on the interwebz!).
I am currently waiting for my crossfire to be cleaned and serviced, before going to pay for it and pick it up next week (I hope).
I came accross a red roadster with approx 36k miles on it, that was actually imported from Florida. So I am buying a car that has been accross the Atlantic twice now!
Unfortunately the car has been sat untouched for around 9 months, covered in dust thats around an inch thick, and with a flat battery. It belongs to a company that rents out luxury sports cars, and it seems the crossfire didn't get much rental time, it has only done 5k miles since it was imported 4 years ago.
When I started it, it made a rather awful ticking noise (from reading here, it could be the lifters, but I don't know), and some smoke poured out from under the engine, which obviously didn't make me want to buy it. It also had the back window reglued in not a very nice way. I couldn't test drive it, as it was behind a selection of other cars (very beautiful cars at that) that were also covered in dust and probably had flat batteries. So basically I was going to walk away.
However, the owner promised that if I was intereseted (so leave a deposit) his team of mechanics would go over the car with a fine toothcomb (and from seeing that his mechanics were working on a Rolls, a Lamborghini and a couple of mustangs at the time, I think they are probably decent mechanics) and make sure everything was perfect before I went back and if I found anything wrong with the car that he would give me my deposit back. This made me feel a little better, but when he also said he would certify in writing the condition of the car and also give me a 1 year guarantee, I was then sold (or rather the car was

)
Anyways, again, I just wanted to say thank you for all that I have learned here in the last week or so, and hope to continue doing so.
And if anyone owned a red roadster in Ohio in '07 (for only 32 miles!) or in Florida in 2008 thru 2012 (2 owners), then I may just have your car
