Dang that's a lot of 'oil'(?). I would thoroughly clean up ALL the existing, and then make sure the dipstick 'o' ring is there PLUS check and make sure the oil filter cap 'o' ring is in the correct slot in the cap. After that, I would check all the upper valve cover areas for any broken or loose lines. Then, and only then, I would start the car and look for a leak. Limit the RPM's, there has to be a source you should have in mind from where the most oil was located before you cleaned it all up. It may be that all that oil was pushed out the dipstick tube (lower end pressure). If the dipstick keeps 'pushing' itself out, you have big troubles (ring or valve blowby?). Good luck!
