I did nothing to the Crossfire but last week I found that my Garmin Nuvi 1490 had died over the winter, It would not work even with a charger on it, so I got a new battery for $7 and fitted it when it came. It now works fine.
I started to take it apart and broke the surround trim before I looked on YouTube and found out how it should be done.

It is an older model and I have a later GPS unit as well as the radio with navigation but that sits on the shelf. I hate to throw stuff away.
