TI have also ordered a code reader (Autel Maxicheck Pro) that is supposed to help diagnose engine, transmission and brake codes on Chrysler and Mercedes, so that may help.
Let me know if that reader works out for reading the BAS/ESP codes on XF. I don't have my own reader for that system yet.
