Thanks, Graphite. I have no traces of rodents residing in the garage. No droppings or sightings. Wife would let me know in very short order if she sees one. I'm going to try ala_xfire's battery suggestion. I'll keep your rodent alert in mind in case I still have electrical weirdness after replacing the battery and checking the ground cable.
