Not jumping to any conclusions...Tino's (CTD-Germany since you obviously didn't read it) post specifically states that painting is required. Personally, I don't care if you have to have your whole car painted to match.
So I don't see any "off the cuff speculation" or "jumping to conclusions" when it's coming straight from CTD. Maybe you should rethink which one of us has the Jerry Springer mentality...or not...don't really care. It is what it is and not a simple grille replacement.
