I don't think it is proper for CICCI to come along and think they can just take over an event that has been going on for nearly 10 years. Not everyone is a member nor do they want to be. Why does CICCI want to fix something that is not broke? We have been doing fine without you all these years. This weekend has been more confusing than any I attended in the past.
Here are some of my photos. I hope everyone will post some for others to see, or borrow.

James - Thanks for posting the great pictures of your ToD excursions. Mrs & I are going to have to take in a couple of your stops during an upcoming weekend when she is not scheduled to work.
Sorry to hear that you felt CICCI was too involved and/or controlled the planned activities during the weekend. I do know that it's a good thing that there is a planning committee trying to lay out activities for the weekend. And I like the prospect of taking XFire road trips that are focused on something other that just running ToD and/or pursuing "spirited" driving. Your perspective on this past weekend will be interesting to watch to see if others felt the same way.
If I remember correctly, I think CICCI was involved back when the group ate at the dining hall down near the entrance. By involved, I think CICCI anted up funds to cover meat (burgers & hot dogs) purchase and all the fixings. Everyone brought something for the buffet spread inside and we chowed down to a great meal. Only issue was those that handled the grillin' never got any relief and ended up missing out on eating in the dining hall with friends. But beyond that, I don't believe CICCI was involved otherwise. I think it is a good thing to have the Saturday evening group dinner as a catered event. Just wasn't the same atmosphere during years when everyone was "on their own" for dinner on Saturday evening.
I would hope that CICCI would be involved but at an arm's length going forward so those that don't belong to CICCI would not feel any pressure to join CICCI, would still feel welcome and continue to attend future ToD events.
Looks like folks had a good time. There were a lot of smiling faces in your pictures.
