Isn't it just as important to check the level "cold" before starting out to warm the engine up ? I will be changing out the filter and transmission connector due to a leak that has developed. Since I have already "leaked" transmission fluid I will not be getting an accurate reading from the drain pan of the fluid I need to replace.


Hence............I would like to know how to check the level prior to driving.
