The white board had a message to meet at 8:30 at a place we had never heard of "Deals Gap"
Remember this was our first time at Fontana Village.
I would strongly suggest that in the future volunteers that have been to the event several times take the first timers under their wing and help them to plan their weekend runs. Just a thought.....

There were some others from past events still present in the lodge at 9am but apparently not in the lobby where they could be letting others know where the rest of us went and how to get there
We were about 9 miles down the road a Deals Gap for breakfast and we were there until 10:30
We didn't ever know that anyone was left behind by that time and for that I apologize
I will personally not deviate from any plan for meeting on Sunday morning in the future
I dont want anyone to be left behind again
