I realize it's an aftermarket product, but from what I've read it seems to eliminate the lag when you step on the throttle. Just a thought ...

I do hope things work out for you Sharon ... replacement car, refund ... whatever. I've been in your shoes, not carwise, but getting something only to have it be a dud and you're "stuck" with it.
