ShakaShaun, sounds like a transmission conductor plate issue to me.
( about $250 in parts and fluid, 4-5 hours labor - yours or a dealer at $100+ an hour )
I just did one yesterday, not too difficult.
( helps if you can get the car up on a lift, but can be done with jack stands )
