Yes I get that, for essentially the same pump MB sells it as 4-5 hundred, then Chrysler has it for 8-9 hundred. Both may well be selling the exact same part same manufacturer MB.
Then if I search around or just read this thread, RockAuto at 115 dollars, on line I see pumps for 75 dollars. These less expensive pumps I assume are from different manufacturers are the MB pumps that much better of a pump?
