I can confirm that this works on an SLK32. You need to have a StarDas with "developer kit".
(on the slk32 and the SL55 at least) after you have shut the secondary air off (change coding at location "0178"), you can remove the air pump (physically and/or electrically) with no check engine light and NO "un-set" readiness monitor.
similarly, you can turn off the rear oxygen sensors (using StarDas with "devoper kit "to change coding at location "0182"). On the SLK32, the result is no check engine light and no "un-set" readiness monitor.On the M113k cars that I have messed with (SL55, E55) you get no check engine light HOWEVER, you DO get an "un-set" readiness monitor (for o2 sensor heaters). (worth noting, conventional wisdom has you leave the rear o2s plugged into their harnesses even though uninstalled from actual exhaust).
