That is an issue with the steering wheels, never use any type of detailing interior product. Use some rubbing alcohol on a micro fiber towel and rub it onto the steering wheel, it will remove all of the built up dirt and reduce the stickiness. Just rub it dry with another towel and you will feel the difference. Do it once a month and your issues will disappear, worked for me.
A little cheaper than a new wheel......
