Interesting the things I read about other dealers.

OK.. DC dealers ARE authorized Michelin retailers... WARRANTY claims and all. Any competent (hmmm) dealer that partakes of the Chrysler sponsered tire program can and SHOULD warranty any Michelin/Goodyear/Continental (and several others) tire. I have gone though the process of doing this, and as a dealer we do not under any circumstance allow one of hard earned customers to leave our shop for some trained monkey to work on at a tire store!

The tires we install are ordered directly from Chrysler for in stock tires, and ordered through a national price plan from Goodyear or Tire Kingdom for all others. We handle the warranty for road hazards/defects/mileage claims in house.

Sometimes I read the posts here and wonder... Is this why we have a bad reputation in this industry? Is my dealership that I work for really this much better than so many others? On one hand, its sad the industry as a whole hasn't caught on. On the other hand, it makes me proud to work where I do.
