So, if the two frequencies used in 05 were different, and if the frequency of at least one of the wheels is transmitting and can be read by the "magic wand" at the stealership, which they just said they would do at no charge, then I should be able to order the correct sensor without having to break down the tire (again) to read the number off of the sensor. Yes?

That's a good point....looking at the packaging I received the date 08/12/11 in Ireland. I've got new tires...so hopefully the TPMS will outlast the tires and I can replace all 4 tires/tpms at the same time 4-5 years from now. I'll go with the Shrader or whatever is recommended, like the ones that can be programmed with the SID.
