I only have 2,700 miles on my xfire and baby it pretty good. A bird had left a small deposit on my hood that was there for roughly two days. After removing it, I noticed that it ate into the clearcoat and left a permanent mark. I tries everything including a clay bar. Am I screwed? Is this normal? Should I take it back to the dealer? Any help would be appreciated.
i would speak with a highline auto body shop. they may be able to "wet sand" the flawed area... high speed buff and polish. this may remove the etching in the paint from the dropping.
wet sanding is your best chance of eliminating it or reducing the damage.
