We'll do the same driving from SC. Plan to stay in Paducah, KY on the outbound trip; Cookeville, TN on the return trip. Stops are chosen for the local amenities - lodging availability & nearby restaurants. Leaving Paducah around 8 AM on Sunday gets us into Eureka Springs around 2:15 PM. Still lots of time to do a couple of things that Sunday afternoon.
Both trips I'll do more driving the 1st day so the 2nd day is shorter. That allows some relax time when we get to where we're going. And I typically stop every 2.5 hours for 15 minutes to "stretch the old legs & back". Wife & I aren't nearly as limber as we think we are!

Crossfire is a really great car, but it is a sports car and wouldn't be my preferred choice for driving X-country (if that's all I was doing).
