Got the car with Michelin Pilot sports - burned through those pretty quick, replacements prohibitively expensive.

Next, got a set of Kumho Ecsta something or others - crap tire, tread wear was ok but they got noisy - crazy noisy to the point I though I had bearing issues.

3rd set (85,000 on the car now) - Nankang Noble Sports - super inexpensive and have been a great tire - good grip, good tread wear, low noise.

I like the car, but it's a daily driver and an inexpensive one at that - hard to justify shoeing it with $1,000+ worth of Michelins when I can run Nankangs for around $500 - have had both and did not see enough difference to justify price.
