The Phantom Grip system pre-loads the spider gears to aid in torque transfer. That pre-load causes additional friction, which seems to be a problem for anything other than drag racing. I'm currently thinking about trying the road course without a limited slip. Justin says the Wave Traq doesn't help when the inside tire is unloaded in a corner.

There aren't many options, but durability is key for road racing.
