There is no spare tire.
The jack and lug wrench should be under the trunk carpet on the left, no spare tire does limit its uses though.
I would fix that hose to the overflow tank, blocking both ends needs to be done, so why not add the nipple and be done with it.
Others have just screwed in the nipple and not cut the slots in it.
If you do not block both ends you will have no pressure in the radiator and she will blow a lot of coolant.
The lock on the hatch operates using air pressure just as the doors and fuel filler cover do. They are not electrically operated.
