only thing he detuned is his sanity level on the highway with the extra noise...
having no muffler will not harm the car nor will it trip the computer in any way... the change in flow is not drastic enough to cause the AFR to swing more than the 25% adjustment in injector pulse width it has...
i really dislike how scared this community is to mess with these cars ... and the few that do usually get bashed for it with comments like "put the muffler back on".
