Default Re: How to take apart a key fob without destroying it!

I don't know if this applies to your fob after being run over. But my key suddenly started to only pop out a little when the release button was pressed. It just seemed to open very slowly. I noticed there is a tiny black "rolled pin" in the side of the key, right near where it swivels when it opens. That pin is used to hold the metal part of the key onto the fob. That tiny pin had slid out just slightly, so that it was not flush on both sides of the key. So when I would try to open the key, the pin would drag against the plastic. Used a screw driver to gently push the pin in again, so it was flush on both sides of the key, and it is not dragging anymore, it pops open like it always did before.
