The one out of my car is # 193 820 01 26 which does not have the Mercedes logo on it and the one listed on ebay for the 2004 Mercedes SLK 320 / 32AMG is # 170 820 19 26 which does have the Mercedes logo on it.
Just an update that I forgot to mention earlier, Mopar has changed the number of this part from 193 820 01 26 and now lists it as 5102558AA.
All the trouble I have had with this car leaves me with regret for buying it but I am stuck now and have to make the best of it. I really do appreciate all the help that I have found on this forum.
You seem to miss the fact that logo or no logo the part number 193 820 01 26 is a Mercedes part number. It is not a Chrysler part number, the number 5102558AA is a Chrysler number, can you see the difference? They come from two different numbering systems.
Maybe some of the wetness in the trunk is due to your tears.
All cars have problems like it or not, my Chrysler 300 was a piece of junk, so much so that I will never buy another Chrysler again. Prior to that I had a Chrysler Concorde and LHS, they had their problems too but they were nice cars nonetheless. I replaced the 300 with a Hyundai Elantra, no problems in three years.
