You might be experiencing the intermittent operation of the HVAC module due to loose connections between the control boards (there are 2). There is a write-up on this in the forum. Attached is a PDF file I made of the post. One of the major DIY fixes by a fellow XFire owner. A lot of us get plagued by intermittent operation of the HVAC system. Hope this helps.
