My hatch's clear protective film had started lifting around the edges. Took a heat gun and removed them and cleaned off the remaining adhesive. Most hardwares sell the industrial anti-slip stick on tape by the foot. There's both the black sand finish then there's the black rubberized texture type for steps and such. I cut out two strips of the rubberized type with sizzors, then rounded the corners. It's been about 5 years and they still look like new. The rubberized thickness keeps the hatch from rattling at high speeds with the windows down. I wouldn't recommend the sandpaper finish type. Squirrel Crusher
