It took 120F weather to make me correct my fan problem of not coming on immediately. Researching old threads on this site I ordered a new resistor at a cost of $31 total on eBay. Installation took about 20 minutes, and problem solved! The resistor (look CLK320) is made in China which doesn't bother me - in fact I just ordered another on eBay for $18 total to have a spare.
