Oddly enough, I was thinking the same thing after looking at the photos of the two euro racing Crossfire's that Xfire1 put on his poster in the racing section. #63 & #172 have "Hood Scoops on the roof. Come to find-out, they were only using it for cockpit cooling.

Yep, you quite often see WRC rally cars with scoops on the leading edge of the roof for cockpit cooling - people forget that the driver and co-driver are quite an important 'part' of the car to keep cool.
