With the 2007 Coupe essentially detailed & prepped for the Fall ToD GTG at Fontana Dam, I decided to enter a local car show today at an Advance Auto store nearby. $20 entry fee and $5 for 6 door prize tickets. Entries were divided into 2 classes: 1) 1990 & Earlier Old Skool; 2) 1991 and Later Nu Skool. Probably 50-60 cars entered the car show. Trophies were awarded for Top 10 (Old Skool) and Top 5 (Nu Skool) plus Best of Show in both classes. My 2007 Coupe held its own and took home 3rd place in the NU Skool. Placed ahead of a Camaro SS and a brand new 2018 Corvette Gran Sport (guy just bought it last weekend!). A Camaro RS placed 2nd and a Shelby Mustang took 1st. Another Camaro RS took Best of Show.

So felt pretty good that my "dated" Crossfire held its own against some nearly new models. And I won 2 Door Prize drawings - got some Turtle Wax Headlight Cleaner/Polish with a small bottle of 303 Detail Spray & an applicator pad; then won a bottle of Turtle Wax Wash & Wax product. Not bad for an afternoon.

Crossifire is back home & under cover to wait out the impact of IRMA on Monday & Tuesday here in Upstate SC.
