I know there is plenty of infor regarding the rear window failure and repairing it, however...

I was wondering if it is easier to repair with the top on or off the car?

The reason is that I have decided to get a new (beige) top from BAS to replace the stock black one which has the window unstuck (after an attepted repair by the place I bought it from).

The thing is, the top looks pretty much brand new. The car has around 35k on it and has always been stored inside and driven nearly always with the top down. Therefore, I am thinking of repairing it and storing it in case I should need it in the future (for whatever reason).

So, has anyone reapired it with the top off?

Do you think it would be easier/better with the top on the car or on a bench?
