I repaired mine about two years ago and in my opinion it would be easier while still on the car and stretched tight. You could then remove and store it. If you follow the instructions the repair is not bad. Be sure you remove the old glue and clean and prime with the proper chemicals. The glass holders are a must and I put masking tape around the glass and removed it before the glue completely set making clean up a lot easier. Using to much or two little glue is most peoples problem. Read the instructions carefully.
