So the car is currently in the garage for a diagnostic, I've been quoted £360 to have the transmission connector and wire loom changed/ the O ring has cracked so that could be leaking oil in. I told them this is an extortionate price for just changing those parts and they claim that labour, diagnostic and oil change is all justifiable within that cost.

Im tempted to change these parts myself along with the conductor plate transmission kit, get the whole job done while I'm in there. £360 I think is a little bit of a rip off? I will ask them tomorrow for a quote on installation with this kit instead and no doubt they'll roughly say around the £500 mark.. would this be overkill?? definiteky don't want to be ripped off, happy to do it myself but I've not long had knee surgery after an injury at work, gets a little tricky moving around.

Would it be an idea to change the solenoids as well? I've no knowledge on how reliable these are?
