Hey guys,
This is Ryan from Virginia. i hope you can help..
When pulling off from a standstill (just normal around-town driving) there is a noise that sounds like a peice of metal is on a pendulum swinging back and forth and if i pull off its like it makes something swing back and hit metal, making a ping noise. This happens when shifting as well; when i engage into another gear and put my foot on the pedal and accelerate it makes ping noise. I could be in the same gear, if i slow down and gas it again the ping happens. Its not correllated to any gear, speed, or shifting, just anything past a certain gforce causes this metaphorical pendalum sounding thing mKe a ling sound. anytime i accelerate there is a metal ping sound from the back. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it. Its freaking annoying.
Thank you
I have had a similar noise but it csme from the seat belt mechanism, it was the auto belt lock up inside the panels behind the B pillar. Your problem is a poser, how many miles on the car? It could be the anti roll bar mounting behind one of the rear wheels.
