I had the hatch ajar last week. I pulled in, from my neighbors an couldn't figure out why my interior light was still on. I closed the passenger door again, still on. So I lifted the hatch about 4" again , slaam , still on. Third time , slaam, as I went in the house. I was looking for my phone, an it hit me, why the hatch wouldn't close...
