re: Needswings Oil Catch Can
Gentlemen = Not to sound ignorant but, what is/does the oil catch can do? Obviously, as it's name implies, it catch's oil, but from where. I just bought my first Crossfire, a 2005 model, so I may have what seems like some silly questions. My theory is "if you don't ask, you'll never know".
I did notice a little oil under my new, to me, Crossfire. Very little, but still there. The man I purchased the car from told me that the dealer slightly overfilled the oil on the last change and that I would notice a "high" indicator on the dash. He told me to just turn the small dial and the indicator would go away. All of this happened on the way home. In the past, I've always worried about a blown seal if the oil level was too high. Does a catch can help in this department, the slight overfill and the spot under the car?
Please bare with me as a new, first time owner. Any information will be greatly appreciated. By the way, my car is a "limited" and has an automatic trans.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
